Studio Side Kick STA-06-090DL (Lighting with Dual Pistol Grip)

The STA-06-090DL (Lighting) is designed for the Professional Photographer and engineered for daily use.

The STA-06-090DL (Lighting) is supplied with a steel safety tether cable designed to hold overhead Strobes and LED Continuous lighting. A conventional lighting stand or C-stand is the gold standard but has several drawbacks that are just accepted.

For example:

1. You cannot position the strobe close to the ground.
2. They both require a lot of fiddling to set-up which uses a great deal of your valuable studio time.
3. They are both difficult to re-position easily, they have to be dragged or lifted.
4. It's impossible to make small vertical adjustment for fine tuning
5. They are not designed to support a dual or triple strobe set-up.

The STA-06-090DL (Lighting) provides functionality and saves time:

1. It allows you to position the strobe using the pistol grip anywhere along the vertical column. Either very close to the ground or at the top.
2. One knob opens and locks the base.
3. Locking casters allow quick re-positioning and are supplied as standard.
4. The pistol grip allows very fine vertical adjustments to be made easily.
5. The STA-06-090DL (Lighting) is designed to be expanded by adding a second or third pistol grip.

The STA-06-090DL (Lighting) side kick column material is made of STEEL not Aluminum. The side kick provides a payload capacity of 20kgs/44lbs, which is more than double when compared to other stands. Stands with Aluminum columns dent, ding and scratch more easily when compared to STEEL.

STEEL is stronger, 2.5 times more dense than Aluminum, less likely to warp, deform or bend under weight and force. Studio Titan pistol grips are specifically engineered to be rigid and ultralite for portability. The heavy-duty Pistol Grip Platform with attachment stud, easily guides a Strobe up or down the column.

The heavy-duty Pistol Grip includes two locking knobs. The first locking knob prevents unwanted vertical movement when set. The second locking knob secures the attachment spigot / stud. When the center column is set to the lowest position or in "Parking Mode" the side-kick remains stationary on a flat surface without locking the casters. Use "Parking Mode" when small movements are needed to find the best position.

Premium Dual Stage casters provide easy movement around the studio. The dual-stage foot brake stops both the wheel from rotating and the caster housing from swivelling, preventing unwanted movement.
