Commercial Studio Camera Stand STA-01-350 MK2-360SPIN

The STA 01-350 MK2-360SPIN is designed for 360 spin photography. Developed in conjunction with REVO NORTH AMERICA for the VIDA STUDIO 360 quick spin product photography platform, the STA 01-350 MK2-360SPIN provides three horizontally aligned arms. Each arm accommodates one camera, for a total of three cameras on a single stand.

For 360 spin photography applications, it is critical that all cameras are aligned in the same vertical plane. With Studio Titan, camera alignment is maintained as the vertical carriages travel along the hexagon-shaped vertical column. Other brands use circular vertical columns that do not maintain vertical camera alignment.

The STA 01-350 MK2-360SPIN provides rapid horizontal and vertical camera positioning to accommodate all sizes and shapes of objects. Tape scales are provided on the arms and vertical column for precise and repeatable setup.

The stand includes three STA 01-350MK2-TS user-positionable clamp-on travel stops with spring-type shock absorbers. Each travel stop is installed below an arm to set the lower travel limit and help avoid collision with another arm.

Due to the design, the stand is not supplied with an internal counterweight. The center column height is 240 cm / 94.4 in. The horizontal arm widths are specified below.

The base is supplied with the Leg Weight Set STA-01-350LW-15 for added stability. The STA-01-350LW-15 is an all-steel covert “bolt-under” leg weight set. Three individual steel weights (15 kg / 33 lb each) bolt into each leg for a total of 45 kg / 99 lb of additional weight inside the base.

This stand provides vertical and horizontal movement of the camera. Vertical [up/down] travel is provided by the vertical carriage. Horizontal arm/bar [left/right] extension is provided by the horizontal carriage. The Camera Head Mount Plate is adjustable anywhere from 0–360 degrees around the horizontal bar/arm.

Before installation and use of an optional horizontal arm, please read the STA_01-350HB_Horizontal_Arm_Bar_ manual. When using an optional horizontal arm, load reduction and additional weights/sandbags on the legs may be required to prevent instability or tip-over.

Q: What is our innovation and why is it better?
A: Smooth ball bearing movements.
The horizontal arm and vertical carriage glide effortlessly on 24 calibrated metal ball bearings. Smooth ball bearing movements are beneficial when shooting with high-resolution cameras and camera backs. Other stands that don’t use ball bearings often have too much play and do not provide smooth movements.

Packaging with Recyclable Materials

Studio Titan respects the environment. When selecting packaging materials, Studio Titan prefers using recyclable materials to reduce environmental impact. The column box blue outer plastic is polypropylene (PP), resin identification code 5, which is recyclable. Product boxes and protection edges are corrugated cardboard, recyclable through depots, municipal curb-side programs, and private recyclers. Internal securing foam blocks are PE (polyethylene foam) and are 100% recyclable. Plastic bags are LDPE (low-density polyethylene), identification code 4 (check local acceptance). Yellow plastic strapping is PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and is fully recyclable.

Recycled Materials Used Inside the Products

Studio Titan respects the environment. When manufacturing products, Studio Titan prefers using raw materials mixed with recycled materials to reduce environmental impact. For aluminum components (vertical column, horizontal column, legs, die-cast carriages, base, cap, and head-mount plates), the typical ratio is 70% recycled to 30% raw aluminum. This globally adopted ratio provides good strength and finish. For steel components (circular or square columns, hardware, casters, gears, and counterweight), we have confirmed the steel includes recycled materials combined with raw materials. We are not able to provide the exact percentage, as each product uses a different ratio based on its end use.
